What’s one major takeaway you got from college/AACF?
Before AACF I hadn't really thought much about our special privilege as believers to bring the Gospel to the people God places in our lives. I'd always kept to my comfortable Christian bubble. AACF helped opened my eyes to being a light on campus, using our short time as students to bring others to Jesus, inviting friends into this Spirit-filled fellowship group. I saw relationships and the world around me in a new way, God's way. Another major takeaway was discovering the specific gifts God gives to each believer. AACF was a place to figure out and grow my spiritual gifts and passions, ones I hadn't thought about before. It was a safe place to experiment and try new areas of service.

How are you currently involved in your church community?
I still attend the same church I grew up in--Seattle Chinese Alliance Church. My husband Jason and I are on the leadership team of a young family's group and often host the meetings at our house. We provide families a place to share and encourage each other through marriage and family life. As backward as it may sound, I also see my role at home and taking care of the three kids as a support ministry to the church, because Jason serves on the governing board (which translates to a lot of time away from home spent in meetings, retreats, and working with church leadership). As for exercising my own spiritual gifts, I'm a Children's Leader/Teacher at Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), co-teaching 24 three year olds the book of Romans and leading them in worship, quiet time, and activities every week. Our goal is to plant seeds of the Gospel into the hearts of these kids and show them the love of Jesus.
